Setting up the Playbook app for iOS

 

1. On your iOS device, open the App Store and search for "AP Playbook".
2. You can also use your device's camera to scan the QR code below:

2. Once downloaded, tap the AP Playbook app icon.

3. Configure your app settings:
4. Location: If you want to share your location with AP Playbook so newsroom managers and the assignment desk can find you on a map, select the appropriate option when prompted.
5. Notifications: If you prefer AP Playbook notifications, tap Allow when prompted.
6. Webaccess URL: Enter your station's url in the following format: https://[yoursitename].applaybook.com/applaybook
4. When the screen reloads, click the relevant single sign-on option and log on using your username and password.
5. NOTE: You do not need to enter your username and password prior to clicking the log on button.
5. In your web browser (Chrome preferred), log on to Playbook using the URL as above.
6. Once you are logged on, click on your avatar in the in the upper-right corner.
7. Select Notifications.

1. If you wish to be notified by the app whenever your are given a new assignment, ensure Mobile App is selected. Tapping a notification will take you directly to the assignment or story inside the Playbook app.
2. NOTE: Do not select both Mobile App and Text as this will provide duplicate notifications.
